Figures of PayTV in Turkey, June 2016

According to the data in the report of the Supreme Council of ICT, the market share of payTV is just 30%.  There are about 6M subscribers to payTV services in Turkey, where total number of households is assumed to be 20M. FTA: Free to Air / Ücret ödemeden izlenilen televizyon PayTV subscribers are mainly taking service via satellite, 69%. Cable has a static number of subscribers, which is around 1,2M which makes 20% of payTV and IPTV has more to do, with just 11% of market share. PayTV operators should concentrate on increasing the market itself, before their share in the market. But as nearly all TV channels are FTA in Turkey, it is not a simple task.

2wcom Expands MM01 Functionality with New Features

Resounding success of first live on-air use of Brainstorm’s TeleTransporter virtual traveller feature

TVE, Spain’s state broadcaster, relies on Brainstorm’s patented and award-winning TrackFree technology in order to showcase results of Spanish general elections Madrid, 6 July – Brainstorm Multimedia, leading manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio solutions, broke new ground together with TVE by using the patented TeleTransporter technology for the first time during general election night on 26 th June. TVE, Spain’s national broadcaster, used Brainstorm’s virtual studio application, the Infinity Set, and its TeleTransporter feature to teleport a live presenter from the studio to the floor of the main Congress chamber in order to showcase the election results along with Aston’s Augmented Reality graphics.

2wcom Introduces A30 for FM Monitoring

Flensburg, GERMANY — 4 July  2016 2wcom has released the A30, the company’s newest monitoring device and successor to the A20. Featuring additional power and flexibility, the system is equipped with two professional FM tuners able to be used independently. Operators can, for example, use the first tuner to monitor audio inputs (silence detection), while the second tuner monitors up to 30 broadcasting stations in scan mode. When in scan mode, the system lets operators effortlessly configure station order and measurement time via a Web interface. All data received is hidden, allowing the visualization of all stations, regardless of whether they are being or were recently monitored.
